VINSSEN AND MARINTEKNIK TARGET ASIAN ECO-MARKET

Aug 14, 2025 | Marine propulsion & machinery news

Eco-friendly marine mobility company Vinssen of South Korea has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Singapore’s Marinteknik to accelerate the shift toward clean propulsion across Asia.

The partnership centres on Vinssen’s hydrogen-ready battery-based hybrid systems — designed to evolve from diesel-hybrid to full battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell propulsion as infrastructure matures.

Marinteknik contributes 40-plus years of ship design and construction expertise and a powerful regional network. Vinssen brings proven hydrogen, battery, and hybrid technologies — including Korea’s first AIP-certified hydrogen-powered vessel. Together, they expect to be able to deliver turnkey, zero-emission-ready solutions, integrating smart navigation and digital vessel systems to enhance efficiency, safety, and lay the foundation for autonomous operations.
