Cavotec has signed two additional orders with a combined value of €9.35m with a leading global container shipping company, concerning shore power systems for both newly built and existing container vessels.
The first order, worth €5.55m, includes the retrofitting of Cavotec’s shore power systems on a large number of existing vessels. The projects will be carried out while the vessels are in operation between Asia, the US, and Europe. Deliveries are scheduled to begin this year and continue until the end of 2026.
The second order, worth €3.8m, is an addition to a €8.1m contract that Cavotec announced in May 2025. This order covers shore power systems for newly built container vessels, with deliveries scheduled to start in the second half of 2026.
Cavotec’s solutions are said to significantly reduce emissions by enabling vessels to connect to shore power while at berth and support compliance with international environmental regulations.
Cavotec CEO David Pagels said: “These significant orders from one of the world’s leading container shipping companies underline our strong position in the shore power market. They also demonstrate the customer’s confidence in our technology and our ability to deliver sustainable solutions to the maritime sector. The orders also strengthen the long-term partnership between us and this globally leading container shipping company.”
