CIMC RAFFLES HANDS OVER SECOND GREEN PCTC TO NOCC

Jan 27, 2026 | Shipbuilding & ship repair news

The 7,000 CEU PCTC vessel ‘NOCC Adriatic’ has been delivered by CIMC Raffles to Norwegian shipowner Norwegian Car Carriers (NOCC), from CIMC Raffles’ Longkou construction base.

The NOCC Adriatic is the second 7,000-car PCTC vessel ordered by NOCC from CIMC Raffles. Measuring 199.90m in overall length, 38m in beam, with a design draught of 8.6m and a design speed of 19 knots, the ship operates at a service speed of 19 knots. It features two C-type LNG storage tanks along with dual-fuel main and auxiliary engines, allowing for zero-emission operations while in port.

From the project’s inception, CIMC Raffles focused on achieving a ‘high-quality, high-efficiency’ delivery as its primary objective. By enhancing coordination between design and production, refining construction processes, and streamlining supply chain partnerships, the team effectively managed resources and tightly controlled critical milestones, ultimately completing the project 70 days ahead of the original contract schedule.

NOCC stated that the early delivery of the NOCC Adriatic surpassed expectations, with build quality that meets or even exceeds the technical specifications.
