Yinson Greentech marine electrification business marinEV has secured a one-year bareboat charter with HHH Marine & Logistics for its ‘Hydromover 1.0’, marking its second Hydromover commercial charter in Singapore in under one month.
The agreement follows marinEV’s July 2026 bareboat charter of Hydromover 2.0 to OPL Services and expands the commercial deployment of the Hydromover platform across another maritime operator and operating profile within the Port of Singapore.
The vessel commenced operations in August 2026 and is supporting HHH Marine’s ship-supply operations, transporting essential supplies from port terminals to vessels at anchor within the Port of Singapore. The charter has an initial term of one year, with options to extend. The deployment also includes Marine Digital Platform (MDP), marinEV’s proprietary digital intelligence platform which provides fleet management, performance monitoring and operational optimisation capabilities.
Originally introduced as Singapore’s first fully electric cargo vessel under the Goal Zero Consortium, Hydromover 1.0 has undergone multiple enhancements since its launch. Most recently, upgrades to its battery system have increased the vessel’s energy capacity and operational flexibility, enabling it to better support commercial operating requirements while maintaining zero operational emissions.
The deployment builds on earlier operational trials and commercial experience, which have provided valuable insights into vessel performance, energy consumption and operational optimisation. These learnings have helped refine Hydromover 1.0 and contributed to the development of Hydromover 2.0, marinEV’s next-generation electric cargo vessel.

Securing a second Hydromover charter in less than a month, with a new operator and a different operating profile, is an encouraging sign of how the market is progressing from demonstration towards commercial adoption. Our focus now is to build on that momentum and continue improving the operational and commercial competitiveness of electric harbour craft as deployment scales.”
For HHH Marine, the deployment presents an opportunity to gain first-hand operational experience with electric vessel technology while supporting its efforts to explore lower-emission solutions for maritime logistics. Hydromover 1.0 will operate within Singapore’s developing electric maritime ecosystem, including marinEV’s operating presence at Toll Offshore Petroleum Services, where the Electric Maritime Decarbonisation Hub brings together electric marine transport, vessel charging and integrated cargo logistics.
