Value Maritime and Neptune Lines, a member of Neptune Group of Companies, have completed the installation of a 15MW exhaust gas cleaning system (EGCS) onboard the ro-ro vessel ‘Neptune Tharros’.
The vessel is now ready for upgrade to a full onboard carbon capture system (OCCS). The equipment was delivered to Greece as separate components and housed in a purpose-built room within the funnel extension. The Neptune Lines technical team carried out the installation and integration engineering.
Installation of the same system onboard Neptune Ethos is also underway. The project is said to reflect Neptune Lines’ continued investment in technologies that support the environmental performance of its fleet.
