ACCELLERON EXTENDS DIGITAL SOLUTIONS PORTFOLIO TO KOREA

Oct 28, 2025 | Marine electronics & digitalisation news

Accelleron has signed an agreement with maritime software developer Lab021 to extend the reach of its digital solutions among Korean shipbuilders, owners and operators.

Through the agreement, Lab021 can now further enhance operational efficiency for its customers – including more than 700 vessels already using its Vessellink ship management platform – by offering Accelleron Loreka360° digital optimisation solutions. Under the agreement, Accelleron will promote Vessellink to its base of digital solutions customers. The partners will cooperate to improve integration between their platforms, driving optimisation opportunities for ship operators.

Korean shipyards are considered to build some of the most technically advanced vessels, with an increasing focus on smart ships equipped with digital solutions. The country’s ship owners – operating a large fleet spanning ultra-large container ships to domestic ro-ro ferries – are increasing their digital deployments, supported by innovative developers like Lab021.

Loreka360° comprises several modules that represent a single platform for managing and optimising vessel, fleet and voyage performance. Three modules are covered by the agreement: Tekomar Xpert Engine, which assesses engine performance and delivers related advisory. Emissions Desk supports operators in converting vessel data into compliance reporting and insights for further reductions. And OptiHull combines voyage and vessel data to optimise hull cleaning planning based on a ship’s route, hull condition and potential fuel savings.

Vessellink software features marine-specific data and analysis functions required for the shipping industry. A 24-hour intelligent system monitors the safety and efficiency of the fleet and is optimised for environmental regulation response. Vessellink currently manages more than 700 ships onshore.

Accelleron Global Head of Sales and Operations, Digital Solutions, Shailesh Shirsekar, said: “Working with Lab021, we can advance the integration of ship management and performance optimisation solutions, and showcase the resulting efficiencies widely in one of the world’s key shipbuilding and ship owning countries. We look forward to a fruitful cooperation that will contribute to lower costs and emissions for our joint customers.”

Lab021 CEO Sang-Bong Lee added: “Accelleron’s complementary digital offer will add further value to Vessellink users, and users of Loreka360° will find opportunities in integrating our state-of-the-art ship management system. We are excited to join Accelleron in working towards a more holistic, integrated approach to digitalization that allows ship operators to use each platform to its full advantage.”
