Swedish ship designer FKAB reports that vessel number 15 in the Fure Vinga series, ‘Fure Victoria’, was recently delivered from China Merchants Jinling Shipyard.

This FKAB T24 vessel is one of 22 ordered vessels in the-series, ordered by Furetank and its partners in Gothia Tanker Alliance. Fure Victoria will be owned by the joint venture between Furetank and Algoma of Canada.

The FKAB T24 C1 Vinga series is a Tier III oil and chemical tanker designed for maximum fuel efficiency and high cargo capacity. Propulsion is provided by a medium speed dual fuel engine driving a gearbox with PTI/PTO and shaft generator coupled to a CP propeller in a nozzle. Engineered to achieve the lowest possible fuel consumption, the vessel supports up to 1.52 tons/m³ density and can handle six cargo grades simultaneously. With an optimised hull form and built to Ice Class 1A standards, the Vinga series is said to set new benchmarks in sustainability, efficiency, and reliability for maritime shipping.
