Brunvoll Mar-El has been contracted to deliver its standardised lightweight parallel hybrid solution for Rødne Fjord Cruise’s newest vessel, which will operate out of Bergen on guided tours in the area.

Fast ferry builder Brødrene Aa has been chosen as both designer and constructor for the fjord cruise vessel, with final delivery in 2025.

Brunvoll Mar-El has over the years and through a series of projects established good relationships with both Brødrene Aa and with Rødne Fjord Cruise services.

The hybrid system solution from Brunvoll Mar-El consists of an Energy Management System and DC Switchboard from the Triton Hybrid product range, and includes electric motors, inverters, and batteries. The Triton CPP and Triton Steering gear control systems are supplied for propulsion and gear control and integrated with the Triton Hybrid system solution.
