EDDA WIND ORDERS FURTHER CSOV FROM GONDAN

Edda Wind, a company jointly owned by Norwegian groups Østensjø and Wilhelmsen, has ordered another CSOV (Commissioning Service Operation Vessel) from Spanish yard Gondan, the sixth vessel of the series currently under construction and the eighth project commissioned at the shipyard by Edda Wind for the renewable energy sector.

The vessel, designed by the Salt Ship Design of Norway, will be a further development of the previous design. Designed to be ready for future alternative clean fuels, It will be part of what is believed to be the world’s most environmentally friendly and efficient fleet of vessels of this type. Gondan considers it has consolidated itself as a leading shipbuilder and at the forefront in the integration of the most complex and efficient technological solutions for the sector.
