Japan Engine Corporation (J-Eng) has announced that the cumulative orders of its latest UE engine model, the LSH series, has surpassed 500 unit, demonstrating the expansion of UE Engine market share globally and the growth of its licensing business, which supports revenue growth.
The LSH series main engine model combines high economy, high reliability, and environmental friendliness. Targeting small to medium-sized vessels, LSH series offers a range of bore sizes from 33cm to 60cm, which is a specialty of UE engines, and complies with IMO NOx Tier III regulations.
Not only in the Japanese market, but also in the rapidly growing Chinese market, J-Eng, in cooperation with licensees, actively promotes the expansion of the LSH series. As a result, the engines are said to receive high praise from customers and the company has been able to accumulate many orders intensively in a short period of time. Furthermore, based on the reliability technology established with the LSH series, J-Eng is accelerating the development of next-generation fuel engines such as ammonia fuel engines (LSJA), hydrogen fuel engines (LSGH), and methanol fuel engines (LSJM), further strengthening its response to the demand for the decarbonisation.
J-Eng believes it is the only global licensor capable of handling from development, design, manufacturing, sales, and after-sales service, and will steadily advance its growth strategy by deepening collaboration through the globally expanding UE family, aiming for further penetration of the UE type and expansion of global market share.
