LANGH SHIPPING RECEIVES THIRD GREEN CONTAINERSHIP

Sep 23, 2025 | Shipbuilding & ship repair news

The PaxOcean Zhoushan shipyard has delivered ‘Martta’ (Hull No. H1039), the third in a series of eco-advanced container feeder ships to Finland based Langh Ship.

With this delivery, PaxOcean completes a three-vessel programme for Langh Ship, following Ingrid and Lene earlier in 2025. All three vessels are equipped with Langh Tech’s hybrid scrubber and prepared for onboard carbon capture, technologies proven to cut CO₂ emissions by up to 50%.

By commissioning a full series with integrated scrubber and carbon capture systems, Langh Ship hopes to demonstrates how owners can move beyond compliance and take decisive steps toward net zero. PaxOcean’s role is to make those solutions real by delivering complex green technology at fleet scale, on time and to specification.

Laura Langh-Lagerlöf, Langh Ship CEO, said: “With this vessel series, we had a vision of pushing the energy efficiency and emission reduction further than before. PaxOcean Shipyard has been a valuable partner in achieving this, their ship-building expertise resulting in technologically advanced vessels that make an outstanding addition to our fleet. We are pleased to now have all three vessels soon in operation.”

Tan Thai Yong, MD and CEO PaxOcean Group, added: “The completion of this series reflects more than shipbuilding success. It shows that when owners commit to decarbonisation, PaxOcean can be a trusted partner to turn ambition into operational reality. Our teams in Zhoushan are proud to support Langh Ship in this important journey.”
