Eco Marine Power has announced that two further Japanese companies, NittoSeiko and Sunflame, have joined the Aquarius Innovation Forum and bring with them innovative technologies related to improving energy efficiency onboard ships, systems automation and digital solutions for ship data performance management.
NittoSeiko, with its head office in Kyoto, Japan, offers a range of fuel flow meters for maritime applications and Sunflame, also with its head office in Kyoto, is a manufacturer of combustion technology for marine use with its rotary cup burner and control technology. Both companies will join online meetings, seminars and technology presentations for ship owners and ship managers as well as taking part in study projects.
Aquarius Innovation Forum members exchange ideas and information across a range of topics related to reducing vessel emissions, lowering fuel consumption, and improving energy efficiency. They engage in discussions covering a range of topics including decarbonisation, energy transition, alternative fuels and emerging new propulsion technologies. Several joint research and development projects are underway.
