NEW BWTS ORDERS FOR NORWEGIAN GROUP

Feb 24, 2026 | Water & waste management news

HAV Group’s water treatment systems business has been awarded several contracts to deliver a total of 10 new ballast water treatment systems (BWTS) to various undisclosed shipyards in Norway and internationally.

The ten BWTS units will be delivered for both retrofits on board existing ships and to newbuild vessels. The vessels in question include shuttle tankers, live fish carriers and offshore vessels. Most of the BWTS equipment deliveries will be made during 2026.

HAV Group subsidiary, Norwegian Greentech, will supply its energy efficient UV- and filter-based BWTS to the 10 vessels. The systems will be assembled at the company’s headquarter in Fosnavåg, Norway.

Gunnar Larsen, CEO HAV Group, said: “Norwegian Greentech is experiencing a decent activity level for both retrofit and newbuild projects, and this latest batch of contracts proves that the company’s BWTS technology remains highly competitive.”
