Singapore-based aluminium shipbuilder Strategic Marine has signed an agreement with Metizoft Asia, a division of Norwegian consultancy Metizoft, to assist LCA – CEC (Carbon Emissions Computation) for Strategic’s range of Crew Transfer Vessels, as well as Strategic’s own ESG and sustainability reporting framework.

These initiatives are considered important steps in Strategic Marine Group’s road to sustainability.

Chan Eng Yew, CEO Strategic Marine said: “Strategic Marine Group is proud to engage Metizoft as their strategic partner to achieve net-zero emission goals. We have a long-standing relationship with Metizoft Asia, having worked with them on Inventory of Hazardous Materials and this Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) application is an extension of our relationship. We trust that we are in good hands with their professionalism and expertise.”

Metizoft Asia CEO Clement Chang said: “We are honoured that Strategic Marine Group has chosen Metizoft as their partner for their sustainability reporting framework. Our application provides automation in data collection, streamlines reporting processes, and reduces the demand for resources.  Ultimately, sustainability reporting is not only a compliance process but also an operational process which companies need to take heed.”
