Zinus has signed a new contract with Norwegian system integrator SEAM for the delivery of a complete cable management system (CMS) to the OMYA Hustadmarmor project.

This is said to further strengthen the company’s position as a key technology provider in the electrification of the maritime industry.

Endre Eidsvik, CEO Zinus, said: “We are proud to contribute our technology to such a forward-looking project. This represents another important milestone in our long-standing collaboration with SEAM, which has been a valued partner for many years.”

The project represents a significant milestone for both Zinus and SEAM, as the Zinus charging towers, combined with the e-SEAMatic Blue hybrid solution and 23.5MW battery system from SEAM, will serve the world’s first fully electric bulk carrier. The vessel will operate for OMYA Hustadmarmor, part of the global OMYA Group – a producer of industrial minerals and specialty chemicals with operations in more than 50 countries.

Eidsvik said: “This project combines technology, sustainability, and collaboration across industries and regions. We look forward to the delivery and to further strengthening our relationship with SEAM and OMYA.”
